Ban Kee Trade Show 2016 | Metals Die Cast

09.05.2016 – There have been a lot of cbaby products, collectibles, and merchandise to go around during the Ban Kee Trading Trade Show that occupied a huge ballroom inside Edsa Shangri-La Hotel. It’s their version of the New York Toy Fair in a small scale for the fall release for some upcoming soon-to-be available items.

These are mostly the product line Ban Kee Trading exclusively distribute in the Philippines and one of these range of products are from JADA Toys, which is their Metals Die Cast line of collectible figures revealed in full regalia.

JADA Toys’ first foray into the action figure collectible line that have DC Comics and Marvel as highlighted brands where available early this year due to the tie-in promotional for movies “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Captain America: Civil War.” Metals Die Cast introduced a line of figures representing likeness of the characters portrayed by actors of the said films.

Following these releases JADA Toys acquired rights to produce the line of characters for “Suicide Squad” and other properties from “Ghostbusters” (based on the original 1984 and 1989 films) and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (Classic cartoon appearance from 1988). There were also unreleased characters from “Avengers: Age of Ultron” that was available in other markets, but not yet sold in the Philippines.

But there are also a line of DC Comics characters more focused on the female heroes and some villains that was already seen in the recent Toy Expo and AsiaPop Comic Con that can only be available in those events that has not yet been sold in stores. These are not including the bigger scale versions of Wonder Woman, Catwoman, Supergirl, and Batgirl, which as confirmed won’t make it into Philippine stores until third or fourth week of October 2016.

So far the interest for JADA Toy’s Metals Die Cast has started to pick up as there are three size scale figures to choose from. Not everyone would be interested in the six inch figurines, but a minimalist would want to get into the smallest scale as they are easily the best ones for display. There are also those interested in the four or six inch figures due to the quality and detail.

The exhibit mostly focused on the upcoming releases that have not made it to Philippines stores namely the six inch versions of the four characters that were mentioned. But you might see these become available soon as demand for new figures is slowly starting. It’s rare that there’s no market for die cast figures, but slowly JADA is catching up and Ban Kee participating in small scale events and local toy fairs would build up and interest maybe you’re one of them to check it out.
