Force Friday II | Reveal at Toy Kingdom

Force Friday comes just in time for the "early celebration" of Christmas in the Philippines, which is considered the longest holiday celebration by Filipinos. This also spells an early Christmas shopping for fans of the upcoming Star Wars film, The last Jedi.

Set as a midnight event for Toy Kingdom in the Philippines, which was held in the atrium of SM Mall of Asia, Force Friday follows the tradition of a midnight launch of Star Wars toys, merchandise, and the showcase of almost everything about the galaxy from far away.

I was one of the hundreds who waited in line waiting for 12 midnight to strike. There was indeed a lot of fans who've lined up along with their Star Wars get up and sometimes in full cosplay. & Lightsabers were a common sight and I also friends and familiar faces who were there for Force Friday.

The countdown started and when it was 12, the line started moving inside. People were let inside by batches and indeed patience is a virtue as the features have been revealed.

As expected, Force Friday brings exclusive items available like action figures, toys, and apparel. There are also hot items such Sphero which now has BB-9E.

Action figures were also sold which features the characters for the upcoming Star Wars movie "The Last Jedi". There are of course a section filled with Funko Star Wars, Lego Star Wars and other great finds like mugs, bags, tents and even neck pillows.

Lenovo also partnered with Disney for a special VR game called "Jedi Challenges" where you can do battle with light sabers with Virtual Reality. However the gadgets and the game is not yet available in the Philippines but is getting ready for its launch here soon. They provided a special registration that will notify its launch.

As Force Friday is celebrated all around the world, it was indeed a fun event, and a great bonding time for old and new fans of Star Wars. Episode 8: The Last Jedi will be shown in cinemas in the Philippines on December 2017.
